A Note

Mon Dec 7, 2009, 12:42 PM
Every time I visit DeviantART my heart literally hurts from the feelings your art invokes. The artists I follow, and the friends leave an overpowering feeling of responsibility in me, so much so that it is too much to face; and I keep silent because there are not words that properly express how some pictures stir my soul.

Where have I been? Off on a trip to discover a new meaning of art for myself. In early 2008 I created my new website camendesign.com, a central location for all forms of my stuff; code, photos, art &c. It is written in HTML5, and has no DIVS, no IDS and no classes. It is the finest code I am able to write and on the forefront of both web design, and my belief that code is art.

But whilst the code has become a thing of beauty to me, I have so vastly neglected my traditional art. I have expanded my photography a little, but I cannot remember the last time I actually drew something.

I want to let all those following me left to know that I appreciate you, but I don’t know just how to communicate that just yet. I need to rebuild bridges, and I need to strengthen friendships because you people are important to me and have shaped me a lot. Your art has shaped me a lot. When your art disappears because it is hidden/deleted or somebody leaves, it’s like losing a close friend, it pains me immensely.

If I could hear your comments again, it would bring me great comfort.

Kind regards,
Kroc Camen.

Hey Kroc, like the podcast.

No dress code - no speed limit - just the euphoric sound of HARD HOUSE.

Thanks Sir! I’m glad people are getting something out of it, it’s so shoddy IMO. I think I could improve things if I got myself better organised for the show, but then I rarely know who is going to turn up for the recording. It’s literally that ad-hoc.

camendesign.com—code is art

No, seriously, you go into some very in-depth discussions sometimes, which are great to listen to when cycling. Sometimes you do manage to mull over a single topic for about 40 minutes, though, and start to repeat. Maybe you could have a rough time limit for each topic?

But my main complaint is your Estuary English accent :P It's Aitch Tee Em Ell, not Haitch Tee Em Ell. :D
